Jeff Brown | Director

Jeff has 20 years’ experience in resource management, including extensive experience in presentation to Councils and other groups, and he is a regular participant in the Environment Court. Jeff spreads his time between the Auckland and Queenstown offices and is usually available in each location on any given week. Jeff was a planner for the Queenstown Lakes District Council in the early 1990s, becoming District Planner from 1994 – 1996. In those roles he administered the processing of a large number of resource consents and various privately requested plan changes, including large scale residential and commercial zone changes, some of which attracted several thousand submissions. He directed the latter part of the formulation and the notification and submission phases of the Queenstown Lakes District Council’s Proposed District Plan (1994 – 1996). In 1996 Jeff established his own resource management consultancy, Baxter Brown Ltd with Paddy Baxter and in 2005 formed Brown & Pemberton Planning Group with Gemma Pemberton-Smith. When Gemma resigned in March 2011, the business continued as Brown & Company Planning Group. Jeff has worked on many large and small-scale development projects. These have been processed for developers and Councils using resource consent, plan change, variation or concession. Contact 021 529 745
