Brown & Company was engaged by the Queenstown Lakes District Council to help deliver an integrated Council-led masterplan and plan change process.
Brown & Company led the development of the statutory planning framework for the masterplan. This included guiding the plan change process, navigating the Streamlined Planning Process, and ensuring that planning provisions aligned with the masterplan’s objectives for housing, infrastructure, transport, and community outcomes.
The Ladies Mile plan change is one of the most significant urban growth initiatives in the Queenstown region, enabling a coordinated approach to delivering new homes alongside supporting infrastructure and amenities. Brown & Company’s involvement helped ensure a robust, integrated planning response that balances growth pressures with long-term liveability, connectivity, and environmental considerations.
